In my initial review a few months back about Mix New American Diner in Chaska, Minnesota, I berated the restaurant for having higher-than-average prices (They made a meal at the local chains -- Applebee's, Chili's, etc. -- look cheap). I also laid in to the signature french fries which management prides themselves on because they are hand cut. Hand crafted only means something, though, if they are actually good and the fries were the final nail in the coffin for that particular meal.

It appears that Mix New American Diner now offers french fires (different than their initial hand cut approach) with the meals. This may come across better than charging $4.50 for a smallish basket of what seemed like wet Pik-Nik shoestring potatoes.

Don't let the plain white plate fool you. The atmosphere of this place is actually quite nice. If I recover soon from my financial funk, it just may earn itself a second shot.
